The Museum's story  

From manoli's workshop to a public museum ...

On September 8th, 2001, Britt Manoli officially opened the Manoli Museum in La Richardais.

Gathering local support from Manoli's friends, who joined up as a Patron society, the museum gradually broadened its horizons..

Since 2013, the local governments have been helping develop the museum's projects through financial support and specific programs, making it a cultural landmark in the area.

New goals are set every year to reach out to new audiences with various educational features. In 2017, nearly 8000 visitors were able to discover Manoli's work here at the museum.

ON September 27th, 2017, the museum and 411 works of art were given by the sculptor's family to the Ille-et-Vilaine departement.

This donation will help maintain the collection and honour the artist's memory.
